Chubb Community Care, a leading provider of technologies and solutions to support independent living, will exhibit its range of technology enabled care solutions (TECS) at UKTelehealthcare’s 2016 London MarketPlace on 6th April 2016.
Chubb’s stand at the London Fire Brigade’s headquarters will highlight two solutions supporting both personal safety and independent living. CareUnity® is a flexible care phone that can monitor more than 40 different kinds of homecare alert devices using innovative technology, and the Chubb® Care System, an assisted living solution used in sheltered and extra care housing.
The CareUnity system was designed with ease of use in mind. When an alarm on the carephone unit or any of the connected devices is triggered, an alert is sent to a control centre or emergency contact, and the appropriate response is delivered. Key features and benefits include high-clarity, hands-free speech for clear and easy communication; multiple emergency number storage allowing direct connections to control centres, landlines and mobile telephones; simple use and set up; and, compatibility with all monitoring centre equipment.
The Chubb Care System sends alerts to on-site or remote housing managers, and can be diverted to a control centre, if needed. It has been designed to easily integrate with all closed circuit television, fire and access control and door entry systems.
Chubb will also demonstrate how a range of different TECS devices can be incorporated into CareUnity and Chubb Care System packages to accommodate different care requirements, including those with dementia or at risk of falling. Health and wellbeing devices include personal alarm pendants, pull cord alarms, neck and wrist fall detectors, bed exit sensors, door sensors and automated pill dispensers, as well as CareUnity Telehealth, a Chubb solution that helps users self-manage their health conditions. Chubb will also display environmental safety devices, which include smoke, heat, carbon monoxide, natural gas and flood detectors, as well as intruder and bogus caller alerts.
