    Alcohol Resistant Aqueous Film Forming foams, AR-AFFF, are especially effective for extinguishing and securing flammable hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires. High risk facilities such as refineries, pharmaceutical plants, process areas often require AR- AFFF foams.

    Angus Fire’s TridolC6ATF is a range of AR-AFFF foams, which are cost-effective foam concentrates containing a unique combination of hydrocarbon and flurorocarbon surface active agents. They produce a vapour-sealing aqueous film that spreads rapidly over hydrocarbon surfaces to provide rapid control and extinguishment. On polar solvents an insoluble polymer membrane is formed which protects the foam blanket from the solvent.

Fluorochemical surface active agents, combined with the protein base, increase the fluidity and fuel shedding properties of the foam.

    Forexpan is a synthetic fire fighting foam concentrate specially formulated for Class A applications such as forestry and wildland fire control, structural fires and tyre and paper fires.

    The balanced chemical system in Forexpan reduces the surface tension of water to increase the penetrating power into burning Class A materials.

The unique formulation of BLAZETAMER380™ creates an excellent fire break by penetrating Class A materials to increase the moisture content of the fuel, thus inhibiting ignition.

    Ideally suited to aerial and ground application for wildfire fighting and structural fire fighting, BLAZETAMER380™ has also been proven to be very effective in the suppression of Class A, Class B and Class F fires.

    The innovative AF120 Mk2 is a fully self-contained mobile foam unit specifically developed for the rapid deployment of foam extinguishing agent to fires and chemical spills.The AF120 Mk2 is ideal for the protection of smaller flammable liquid hazards such as boiler rooms, oil storage and loading terminals, paint or spirit stores, airfields, industrial sites, generator rooms and similar high risk areas.

    Requiring only connection to suitable water supply, the standard unit comprises a 120 litre foam concentrate tank, Hi Combat IND225 inductor and F225/H low expansion foam branchpipe. The unit also two 15mm lengths of Dutch-coiled Duraline fire hose, fitted with light alloy 2 ½” instantaneous couplings (other connections available to special order).  A shut off ball valve is also fitted as standard to facilitate swift operation by one person.

    The AF120 can also be used with Angus Hi Combat MEX225 and MEX450 medium expansion foam branchpipes, which are particularly suitable for rapid intervention in cases where vapour suppression of chemical spills is necessary.

    Chubb offers a range of inductors and uniductors for use in the induction of foam. Angus Fire Hi-Combat uniductors are available in various induction rates and are designed for use with Angus Fire low and medium expansion Hi-Combat branchpipes for optimal performance. Also available is an inline inductor from Protek.

    Angus Fire Hi-Combat variable foam uniductors UNI-225, UNI-450, UNI-900

    Variable Foam Uniductors provide the simplest and most accurate means of inducing foam concentrate into the water stream. Operating on the Venturi Principle, foam concentrate is drawn in and mixed with the water stream to produce foam solution. For the first time ever, the uniductor can distinguish between standard and multi-purpose AR type foams. The foam pick-up rate is adjustable between 3%, 3%AR, 6% and 6%AR. A special energy recovery system limits pressure loss across the inductors to about 40% to retain maximum pressure for foam projection.

    Protek 201 Inline Foam Inductor

    Suitable for use with most foam concentrates, the Protek 201 is made from solid brass construction  for durability.  A check ball prevents back flow while the metering device is detachable for easy cleaning.  It is supplied with a reinforced clear PVC pick up tube to prevent kinking.  Push and turn induction setting prevents accidental alteration. It is available in 38mm or 64mm inlet and outlet.

    Angus Fire Turbex foam generators

    Angus Hi-Combat Turbex MkII High Expansion Foam generators are designed to produce large capacities of high expansion foam, up to 200 cubic metres (7,000 cu.ft) per minute for fast and effective flooding of large and inaccessible spaces with minimal water consumption and subsequently minimal water damage. The Hi-Combat Turbex Mk2 will rapidly search out and extinguish fires in enclosed and inaccessible areas (e.g.. basements, mines, tunnels, cable ducts and warehouses) with minimal water consumption and subsequent water damage. Powered by a water turbine and aerofoil fan, all that is required for operation is a pressurised water supply and Expandol high expansion foam concentrate. A unique water by-pass system allows performance to be maintained while working against high back pressures. Expendable polythene ducting is supplied with each unit for accurate foam delivery. It is also ideally suited for rapid smoke extraction and positive pressure ventilation.

    Angus Hi-Combat Mini Turbex unit is a high expansion foam generator which produces up to 100 cubic metres (3,500 cu.ft) of foam bubbles per minute. The Hi-Combat Mini Turbex is capable of producing expansion ratios between 260- 360:1. Rapidly deployed by one fire fighter, it gives valuable time to deploy the larger Hi-Combat Turbex Mk2. This equipment is supplemented by a complete locally manufactured range of A Class foam equipment ideal for use by rural and forestry brigades.

    Both units are capable of rapid smoke extraction (SX), positive pressure ventilation and removal of foam once the fire is extinguished.
