Mirage Inks, an independent manufacturer of high quality flexographic and gravure printing inks, has chosen Chubb to design, install and maintain a complete fire and security solution at its new facility in Commerce Park, Frome.

Mirage Inks recognised the importance of equipping its new facility, scheduled to open in late 2015, with a comprehensive fire and security system. Chubb was selected to install an integrated CCTV, access control and intruder alarm solution, complemented by a fire safety package including:
- Fire detection technology installation and maintenance
- Fire risk assessment and training
- Provision and service of ancillaries like fire extinguishers and blankets
Steve Fisher, managing director, Mirage Inks, says that even though the site is not yet fully operational, they wanted to be well protected from the outset.
"To ensure the protection of our staff, our production and our facilities, a safe and secure environment both inside and outside the new facility is a top priority for us," he said. "As many of the products we manufacture are solvent-based, we require a comprehensive fire safety system, including dedicated training services for our employees."
A team of experienced Chubb engineers surveyed the new site in its early construction phase to design the bespoke system. A series of complex maps was created to identify Mirage Ink's fire and security needs, providing them with a clear plan of potential solutions.
Having worked with Chubb in the past, Steve is confident that every aspect has been suitably addressed in a professional manner.
"The peace of mind that a reliable fire and security system brings, and working with a trusted partner, allows Mirage the opportunity to continue its focus on growing our business," he added.
